Coming from a predominantly commercial background , I view cattle breeding from a pretty much functional and practical standpoint . Though I appreciate the effort and dedication that many folks put into "show ring" cattle , I must say that I am more focused on building a program based on cattle that will work , in as many different cross sections as possible , with the end result being of benefit to the dedicated beef producer . I'm working on putting together the " must haves " ( fertlity , gainabilty , milk , structure , etc. ) with sure fire Galloway attributes (haircoat , polled heads , good mothering , etc.), in order to be able to offer functional , economically viable seedstock to beef producers . I want to provide cattle that producers can count on to contribute to their operation's sustainability and overall bottom line .
